You wake up in the morning
Only to realize that you are experiencing that same old familiar sense of dread and anxiety
A vulnerable sense of fragility and overwhelm permeates your experience
Your body is all wound up
A piercing sensation in your chest,
Tightness in your jaw,
A nauseating pit in your stomach,
You experience all kinds of body pains and aches from the constant attention you carry in your body.
Your mind won’t shut up.
It incessantly bombards you with an ongoing commentary about the past, present and future
“You should not have done that…”
“This is going to happen if you don’t act now…”
“You are supposed to be over this by now”
“You are a healer for god’s sake, how come you are still suffering from this?”
“After so many years of working on yourself and you still struggle with this?”
and so on…
You suck it up and go about your day
One the one hand trying to ignore your experience like a half zombie. And on the other feeling guilty for not being in the present moment.
So…
You push harder, trying to get things done. You recommit to your Yoga practice, Increase your mindfulness meditation. You sign up for another coaching program.
It all helps a bit,
But when the empty feeling, fear and lack of safety inside hits you again, you flee one more time towards your familiar escape routes
Numbing yourself with a bit of pot or diving deeper into work.
There must be more!
We are trained very early on to believe that our sense of value and our well-being depends on external circumstances. We need to have the right job, the right looks, the right this or that, and we believe this.
We create our identity and our lives based on this. But there is something deeper in us. Something that cannot be pinned down into a category.
It’s our aliveness – our being-ness. Let’s call it our depth. Our depth is not touched by our conditioning. It is intrinsically complete and does not need anything external. Accessing this is crucial in gaining freedom from our mental, emotional, cultural, and other constraints.
Anxiety, depression, trauma, addictive patterns, and self-destructive behaviors don’t touch our depth, but our depth can touch these so-called symptoms and make them much easier to navigate.
If we work together, I will help you find this inner resource so that it can became a great support for working with your particular situation.
